EConPC Rel. 3.1 for BERNINA embroidery software V5

Brief Description

After Service Pack2 was installed for the Windows Vista™ operating system, it was not always possible to start up the EconPC application without an error message. On the attempt to send embroidery data from the BERNINA Embroidery Software V5 to a connected aurora sewing machine, various error messages which prevented the start-up of the EconPC application would occasionally be displayed. After further attempts, it was possible to transfer the embroidery data to the EconPC application. With the EConPC Rel 3.1 update, this problem has been eliminated.

Note: Every computer may be assembled and configured differently, which may mean differences from the messages and figures shown here. The different configurations may affect the behaviour of the BERNINA Embroidery Software V5 or the EConPC program.

Requirements

 To allow you to install EconPC Version 3.1, it is essential that the following requirements be met: 

1. One of the following operating systems is installed on your computer:
   Windows® XP SP2 / Windows Vista™ (32-Bit/64-Bit ¹⁾) / Windows® 7 (32-Bit/64-Bit ¹⁾) 
2. An operating BERNINA embroidery software V5.0W (incl. Service Pack2 for BERNINA embroidery software V5) installed on your Computer.
3. Your embroidery computer is one of the aurora models ¹⁾ .

4. Administrator rights for your computer.

5. Attached V5 Dongle.

¹⁾ 64-Bit Operating systems need the "Aurora driver for 64-Bit Windows Operating Systems", this can be downloaded free of charge from www.bernina.com/downloads .

If one of the following BERNINA Embroidery Software versions is installed on your computer, we recommend the prior installation of Service Pack 2 for BERNINA Embroidery Software V5:

• BERNINA embroidery software V5.0J (English only)
• BERNINA embroidery software V5.0P (German and English)
• BERNINA embroidery software V5.0R (Service Pack1)
• BERNINA embroidery software V5.0T (German, English, Japanese)

Note:

The information as to which BERNINA Embroidery Software V5 version is installed on your computer can be gleaned from  'Help – About…'  from the main menu bar of your installed BERNINA Embroidery Software. 
 
If no Service Pack2 is installed for the BERNINA Embroidery Software V5, a message to this effect is displayed when the installation process for EConPC Rel. 3.1 starts up.

Important information:

To make possible the installation of the EconPC Rel 3.1 update on your Windows® XP SP2 / Windows Vista™ or Windows® 7 Computer, it is essential that the BERNINA Embroidery Software V5.0W be installed.
 
.NET Framework 1.1 need no longer be uninstalled:  EConPC Rel 3.1 uses .NET Framework 2.0, which is installed along with Service Pack 2 for BERNINA Embroidery Software V5.

We recommend that you install EConPC Rel 3.1 on each computer on which the BERNINA Embroidery Software V5 is installed and on which the aurora sewing-/embroidery system is used to embroider.
